same extent as M-( -)-propranolol (by 80%). Treatment of membranes with isoprenaline + GMP converts N from the closed GDP-bound state to an open Gpp(NH)presponsive form (Braun et af . , 1982). This form of N was found to be relatively insensitive to propranolol and also attenuated the filipin inhibition of Gpp(NH)p stimulation, but to a lesser extent. The reason for this is unclear, but may be due to a small portion of the filipin effect occurring at the N-C level. An inhibitory effect of propranolol on GDP release from N has been proposed (Morris & Bilezikian, 1982). We have studied the release of [3H]GDP induced by Gpp(NH)p with and without isoprenaline and propranolol, while simultaneously measuring adenylate cyclase activity in the presence of these agents. Gpp(NH)p alone induced release of [3H]GDP which was not significantly affected by propranolol or isoprenaline under conditions where propranolol inhibited and isoprenaline amplified the effects of Gpp(NH)p stimulation. We infer from these results that the inhibition of Gpp(NH)p-stimulated adenylate cyclase is a receptormediated event, not explained by an inhibition of Gpp(NH)p-induced release of GDP from N, and probably due to an uncoupling of receptor from N.

The effect of 12 weeks of aerobic training on some selected inflammatory markers in cardiac tissue of male Wistar rats with two types of normal and cholesterol-rich feeding
Introduction: Metabolic disorders induced by inactivity and malnutrition cause many problems in the heart tissue. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 weeks aerobic exercise on some selected inflammatory markers in cardiac tissue of male Wistar rats with two types of normal and cholesterol-rich diet. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 40 male Wistar rats...
متن کاملEffect of Butter and Sesame Oils on Avoidance Memory of Diabetic Rats
OBJECTIVE: Diabetes is a metabolic disorder which impairs carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. It is accompanied by cognition impairment in diabetic patients and animal models. Lipids play an important role in nerve membrane composition, structure and function. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of dietary butter and sesame oils on passive avoidance memory of streptozotocin (STZ) diab...
متن کاملEffect of aerobic moderate exercise intensity on plasma and aorta homocysteine and 15-F21-isoprostane concentrations in high cholesterol diet-induced atherosclerosis.
Few studies have investigated the effect of exercise on homocysteine and 15-F21-isoprostane in animal models. The present study was designed to examine the effect of long-term exercise and/ or high cholesterol diet on MDA, 15-F21-isoprostane and total homocysteine in the aorta and plasma of rabbits. Methods: 56 male rabbits were divided into four groups: normal diet (control), normal diet wi...
متن کاملEffect of high- intensity interval training on tissue changes of collagen type 1 and fibrosis percent in male rats with myocardial infarction
Introduction: Myocardial infarction (MI) is defined pathologically as cardiac muscle cell death due to abnormal blood flow, prolonged coronary artery ischemia, and replacement of cardiac tissue necrosis as a dense fibrotic lesion. Expression of collagen-1 protein levels and fibrosis increase after myocardial infarction in cardiac tissue. The aim of present study was to investigate the effect of...

This study aimed to investigate the effect of endurance training and saffron extract on the plasma levels of interleukin 17 and 18 in Alzheimer’s rats by trimethyltin chloride. Methods: This experimental study was conducted on 32 male Sprague-Dawley rats weighi...
متن کاملThe Effect of High Intensity Interval Training on the Expression of Enolase3, Caveolin 3 Genes and Plasma Levels of SGOT Enzyme in the Cardiac Tissue of Male Rats with Fatty Liver (Steatosis)
Background: High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a kind of exercise training that suggested for individuals with any sufficient time for regular training. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a period of intense intermittent training on the expression of 3 enolase, 3 caveolin genes and plasma levels of SGOT enzyme in the cardiac tissue of male rats with fatty liver (steato...
